Emma is summoned to Aunt Eugenia, she considers what to wear remarking on the influence that Cousin Matilde had on her wardrobe. Aunt Eugenia made civil conversation then told Emma that she is expected to help Arabella come the month of May to get potential husbands lined up for a future season.
April 2nd[edit | edit source]
Emma wakes to remark on the fact that Aunt Eugenia thinks she has a chaperone when she does not. She also thinks of Miss March and how she will return in June.
April 3rd[edit | edit source]
Emma goes on a walk and reads Paradise Lost.
April 4th[edit | edit source]
Archibald invites Emma for tea, Emma is told that she will not be receiving her 3 year salary.
April 5th[edit | edit source]
Archibald steals Paradise Lost from Emma.
April 6th[edit | edit source]
Emma goes to Madam Tasset dress shop and orders a new wardrobe.
April 7th[edit | edit source]
Emma patches the garret against mice.
April 8th[edit | edit source]
Emma finds more mice droppings, announces her intentions to visit the bank and corresponds with Aunt Eugina.
April 9th[edit | edit source]
Emma dreams of Maxwell.
April 11th[edit | edit source]
Arabella comes for tea, Agnes finds a wig in the kitchen.
April 12th[edit | edit source]
Emma explains the of wandering items in St.Crispian's, the Reed and Rite's role in lost items, The keep, and The List.
April 14th[edit | edit source]
Emma meets up with Mary and her fictional cousin Jack they attend the National Gallery collection.
April 15th[edit | edit source]
Emma receives a letter from Cousin Matilde, attends church and talks with Hawkes.
April 16th[edit | edit source]
Emma goes to visit her banker, and finds out that Cousin Archibald has spent all of Emma's money on clothes and gambling. Emma then mixes between rage and despair at her finances.
April 17th[edit | edit source]
Emma and Archibald pass notes, and agree on a time to discuss the finances.
April 18th[edit | edit source]
Emma shares the history of how Lapis Lazuli Minor came to be, and wonders how she can get a renter to live there.
April 19th[edit | edit source]
Emma and Archibald meet in the Salon, Archibald gives over all household accounts and says he will write to Matilde for the money owed to Emma. They talk about loaning Lapis Lazuli Minor to a friends of Chambers.
April 20th[edit | edit source]
Arabella came for tea, she delivers a truck of Emma's old things, and Emma tells her of her financial problems. Emma reads her fathers Shakespeare.
April 22nd[edit | edit source]
The mice still roam the garret.
April 23rd[edit | edit source]
Emma receives a letter from Evelyn telling her that Maxwell might be brought home. Emma thinks of Maxwell and what he would say to her when he dies, she lights a candle for Father.
April 24th[edit | edit source]
Emma purchases items at the Reed and Rite, and Mr. Green Welcomes her back.
April 25th[edit | edit source]
Agnes tells Emma that she saw The Roman and he spoke to her.
April 26th[edit | edit source]
The Tenant arrives at Lapis Lazuli Minor.
April 27th[edit | edit source]
Archibald leaves Lapis Lazuli House to go settle Emma's salary with Matilde Parian goes to visit his brother. Agnes gives a plate of biscuits to the Tenant.
April 28th[edit | edit source]
Hawkes did not attend the Sunday service, St.Crispian's was at a loss.
April 29th[edit | edit source]
Emma visits Mary and tells her of The Tenant, Emma asks after Jack, she learns of Marys clandestine activities, with Jack.
April 30th[edit | edit source]
Emma wakes early and enjoys her last day of freedom from Aunt Eugenia by going on a walk.
